We get so used to perceiving the world with our internal biases and experiences that sometimes we can miss something truly unique. Instead of looking at the sun as it set, I turned around to see what the light was shining onto. I've been waiting to capture this photo for a while now - I wanted the sunset light to bounce off the windows of the buildings in downtown San Diego and reflect off of the water. Sometimes, it does make sense to turn around.
This epic photo was made at sunrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park, Utah. It was an absolutely breathtaking view and experience!
